On Day 10, the Spanish and Business seminars took a day trip out of the city to the town of Castelldefels, where they put their language and team-building skills to work by the sea.The Art & Architecture seminar visited the Picasso Museum to see some of the Spanish painter’s most famous works.A musuem visit wouldn’t be complete without a debrief over coffee afterwards!Spanish went to the MOCO contemporary art museum. They expanded their vocabulary and practiced comprehension reading the curatorial materials.
Later, they stopped by Sweet Lima to work on their final projects.
After seminars on Monday, we visited the iconic monument that is the Sagrada Familia. We took a tour to learn about the symbolism of various sculptures and details that make up part of the facade, as well as the construction process that is now underway almost 100 years after Gaudí’s death.
Of course, the Photo seminar took advantage of the opportunity to take some amazing pictures.Yesterday, the Photo seminar took an excursion of their own to the Cube, a digital art and music experience inside of Casa Battló.They worked on getting photographs for their final projects … and had some fun with Julia, of course!
Back in the classroom during today’s Business seminar, the group had the privilege of having Mr. Erik Knutzen (CIO of Neuberger Berman and a frequent guest speaker on CNBC) talk to them about the future capital markets, AI, and bitcoin.Today, the full group came together for a lesson in salsa and bachata at a local dance studio called Bailongu.We’re getting our moves ready for Putney Prom at the end of the program!
