Days 6 & 7: Navigating in the Mediterranean, the Palau de Música Catalana, and an Excursion to Sitges

On Day 6 of their seminar, the Photography students visited the Palau de la Música Catalana to focus on light as a storytelling tool. They learned about guiding mood, framing subjects, and communicating emotion without words.
The Spanish Language seminar joined in on the visit to the Palau de Música Catalana, a modernist treasure. Their Spanish tour guide taught them about the venue’s history, inspirations, and uses of nature motifs.
The group also learned about bridging local Catalán traditions and the more universal currents of 20th century architecture and music.

Meanwhile, the Business seminar students went from navigating complex Excel spreadsheets to learning how to navigate in the Mediterranean.
According to instructor Ravi, a day full of sun and fun always makes for good stock market returns!

Today, we took a break from seminars to enjoy some restful time in the lovely beach town of Sitges. After getting to know the town with a scavenger hunt, we wandered in groups to have lunch, explore sun-soaked winding streets, and splash in turquoise water.

Tomorrow, it’s back to seminar time in the city.
