Between yesterday and today, the full group visited the Museu de Xocolata, where we learned about the techniques required to make chocolate––from harvesting cacao to creating bonbons. After a presentation, we tried our hand at designing our own creations.Et, voila!
We might have some future chocolatiers in the group!Today, the Spanish seminar visited the Plaza Real, walked along the iconic Ramblas, and popped into the Boquería Market.
The Business seminar focused on learning how to increase top line revenue via face to face sales. Then, they tested out their skills with some role-playing. The Art & Architecture seminar went to see the Catedral de Barcelona, a Catalán Gothic treasure from the early 14th century. They explored the main church and roof while practicing using architectural vocabulary, and then hung out with the Cathedral’s famous geese in their cloister. To cap off the daily seminar, the group enjoyed the AC back at the Resa while doing a comparison writing exercise.
The Photography seminar went to MACBA to photograph skateboarders in action and the minimalist architecture. Then, they explored the Mercat de Boquería.In the afternoon, part of the group headed to a local climbing gym to try out bouldering.
As we near the completion of the first week, we are getting to know each other better, and enjoying each day more and more!
