Our experience begins

This morning, the Spanish Language and Culture class started off the program learning about cooking vocabulary.
We made and tasted some delicious Spanish dishes, like tortilla de patatas and pimientos rellenos.
They put our chopping skills to the test!
Our instructor, Xavi (pictured in the background) taught us the trick to the perfect tortilla, and we practiced flipping them––with help from friends, of course.

 

In the afternoon, half of the group took a visit to Parc Güell to see Gaudí’s famous designs. The rest of the group will visit tomorrow.
In the evening, we broke off into our dinner groups for our first meals together.
The views were beautiful!
And the food was delicious. ¡Hasta mañana!
