Hola! We just got back last night from our trip to the mountains — it was long but very worth it! We stayed in small cabins, which created a very comfortable atmosphere that brought us all together. We toured the beautiful community, where we saw some local cows and a pregnant cat. The home cooked meals were delicious!

On the last morning there, a small group went canyoneering down the river. We wore wetsuits and helmets and harnesses to protect us as we repelled ourselves down canyons and jumped into the freezing mountain water. It was easily one of the highlights of the getaway!

Back in Barcelona, today was really fun. We all went on a subway adventure across town to a public pool and splashed around. The “Art of Sketch” minor left early to go on a graffiti scavenger hunt to inspire us for graffiti-making of our own. In the afternoon, the rest of the group met back up and we all gathered in the common room to watch the World Cup final. We ate some snacks. We cheered. We yelled. We laughed.

Afterward, we split into small groups for dinner. According to the other students dinner was, “Refreshing” (Sophia M.) and “Octopus” (Eli C.). We are all very excited to be back in Barcelona after our trip to the mountains. Although the change of scenery was amazing, we are excited to spend our last week together in Barcelona.
