Sports Business & Management Visits Camp Nou!

This post contains student writing.

On Friday, July 6th, the Sports Management and Business class visited Camp Nou, the stadium for Football Club Barcelona. The visit started out with the opportunity to visit the team museum, which is the most visited museum in Europe. We got to see all the trophies that the team has won since its founding, experience the history behind the club, and learn about the current team. Next, we got the chance to walk around the stadium and see all the special places inside including; the visiting team locker room, the press/media areas, the tunnel that leads onto the field, and the bench area next to the field. We were standing in a place where heroes from FCB previously stood. It was an amazing experience to see the stadium, which seemed even bigger in person than it does on TV. At the end of the visit, we experienced a virtual reality tour and discussed the marketing strategy by the team to get visitors to pay for the experience.
